The original images were made using upcycled paper collage from past work, screen prints of plant drawings & monotypes of plants that I’d rolled with ink.
I scanned all my work, added colour as well as inverting colours to achieve the desired effect, brought in some signature patterns & textures and imagined interior outlines.

The National flower of Ukraine is the sunflower and this print has been inspired by the show of strength, courage and resilience from the Ukrainian people as they face the invading Russian brutality.
Posters as activism have historically been a powerful and democratic way to spread a message of social awareness or protest.
Sunflowers for Ukraine is a very small but heartfelt contribution towards supporting the Red Cross appeal and creating a poster that communicates a message of solidarity, protest and at the same time raises much needed funds.
The print represents the darkness and light, cold and warmth, life & death through the use of colour and non representational flower heads, with a little nod to The Bauhaus aesthetic.
All profits go directly to the Red Cross emergency appeal.
